In our unbiased opinion, nowhere in the world has such lovely beaches as Virgin Gorda! And there are so many to choose from that you could go to a different beach on every day of your visit. Here, we give you a few details about our favorites.

If you decide to stay at Saba Wind villa and would like a map and directions for getting to these beaches, contact us and we’ll send you some more information.

South end of the island:

To get to the following beaches you need either to drive a rental vehicle or take a taxi, which is what we usually do. You can also arrange with the driver a time to pick you up from the beach.

  • Devil’s Bay
  • The Baths
  • Spring Bay
  • Guavaberry Bay
  • Little Trunk Bay
  • Valley Trunk Bay

All of these beaches have trails leading to them and they all offer pristine white sand, shade amongst the sea grape bushes, lots of boulders to clamber over and explore, great swimming and snorkeling.

Mid-island:

Long, sandy beaches at the narrowest part of Virgin Gorda, half way between the north and south ends of the island. The water is shallow, calm and perfect for swimming and for children. Good snorkeling too.

  • Pond Bay
  • Savannah Bay

Around North Sound:

North Sound’s beaches require only a little leg power or some kind of boat to get to from Saba Wind villa. Water taxis are available, or rent a sit-on kayak, small motorized dinghy, or a laser sailboat from Leverick Bay Watersports.

  • Leverick & Little Leverick Bays
  • Murdering Hole
  • Mosquito Island
  • Sandbox, Prickly Pear Island
  • Bitter End and Trade Winds
  • Biras Creek

Note that the Sandbox cafe on Prickly Pear Island will pick you up in a free water taxi as long as you buy something from their cafe. Their beach is to die for and the food and pina coladas are great too! While we're talking about food and drink, plan to have lunch one day at The Fat Virgin, a casual cafe with scrumptious food at the Biras Creek marina.
